Personal Profile
汪发武,国际知名地质灾害防治专家,日本工程院外籍院士。长期从事地质灾害的机理研究及防治工作,尤其是海底滑坡,地震滑坡,降雨滑坡,水库滑坡等不同因素触发的滑坡灾害。在海底滑坡方面,自主研发了一套模拟海底滑坡运动过程的旋转水槽模型试验系统;在地震滑坡方面,在国际上首次实现了基于实测地震波形的环剪试验;在降雨滑坡方面,提出了用以判别高速滑坡发生危险性的“最适渗透系数”概念;在大量室内试验的基础上,提出了滑带土剪切强度变化模型(被称为Wang-Sassa 模型),并成功地开发了模拟高速远程滑坡运动过程的计算软件LS-RAPID;在水库滑坡方面,揭示了不同地质结构的滑坡对库水位变化的反应规律;在滑坡坝研究方面,提出了预测滑坡坝破坏的系统方法。
汪发武创立了International Consortium on Geo-disaster Reduction;创办了国际期刊《GeoenvironmentalDisasters》。申请人于2018年4月起受聘为联合国教科文组织“地质环境灾害减灾讲席”首席科学家,负责在全球范围内推动环境地质灾害减灾的协调工作。
